I have been a NYS certified physical education teacher for the last 13 years. My classes for this program will be geared towards skills progression and learning the rules for baseball, soccer, volleyball and basketball. While learning those skills the children will receive a great cardiovascular workout and learn important teamwork skills.
MultiSports Class
The class usually starts with a fun warmup or dance to some high paced music. Then the children will work on a different skills. We usually like to go over a few skills from 1-2 sports per class in order to keep things fresh and exciting. We typically finish the class with a modified game where the children can implement the skills they learned and start to become familiar with the rules of the game.
I like to also throw in some fun games for warmups and cool downs. We will play games like Simon Says, use the parachute, play tag and play team building games.
Soccer Class
Class starts with a warmup. The class focuses on the core skills needed to play soccer. Players will learn how to dribble, pass and shoot the soccer ball. Players will learn how to play a game of soccer and use strategy to be successful.
Basketball Class
Class starts with a warmup. The class focuses on the core skills to play basketball. Players will learn how to dribble, dribble pass and shooter the basketball. Players will learn how to play a game of basketball and use strategy to be successful.
