Andrew Greene I am a husband, father and teacher. I am a certified physical education teacher and I have been teaching physical education for about 15 years. I have a masters in nutrition and exercise science. I played baseball in high school and college and have coached baseball, softball, basketball, track and bowling. In my free time I serve at my church and spend time with my family.
Bryant Colwell I am a father and a husband above all. I taught for 10 years in the NYC Department of Education in the South Bronx and West Harlem neighborhoods. Growing up I don’t think there was a sport I didn’t play. In high school I played football and lacrosse. I attended college at SUNY Cortland where I played for the club lacrosse team. I acquired my Master’s in Physical Education from Adelphi University shortly after. I still maintain daily physical activity and you can most likely find me on a mountain bike trail on the weekends. I chose to be a physical educator because sports was something I always enjoyed and wanted to share the joy of sport with others.
Gisselle Flores (AKA Gigi) My name is Gisselle Flores, I am 20 years young & I’ve been coaching kids since the age 14. I’ve always played against and with guys because I want to prove and show to girls that girls can accomplish whatever they desire just like I did. I’ve received awards such as MVP, Top goal scorer, Rookie of the year, fastest goal in college history and not only that but I got selected best in the city for my high school career. My goal is to help kids out and push them to their max just like someone did to me when I was younger. I want it to live on, so when these kids grow, they do the same and pass it on to the next. Seeing kids succeed and accomplishing their goals is what makes me love coaching. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for my soccer career and I wish to build up every kids soccer career as well.
Felipe I am currently an amateur soccer player with aspirations to become professional in the near future. I grew up playing soccer and played on some of the top soccer clubs in NY. I briefly played soccer at Stony Brook University where I was presented with an offer to play professionally. When I am not training or working I love coaching kids and helping them to improve their skills. I love seeing the children struggle through a skill and then begin to improve and feel accomplished.
Hi my name is Estevinson Carmona. I’ve been practicing martial arts for 16 years. I taught Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Gracie Barra New Hyde Park, Long Island for 4 years while competing in MMA and BJJ. I have experience with teaching children and adults. I started my journey at the age of 9. Martial arts has empowered me to feel confident and calm in situations that used to make me feel scared. Learning martial arts changed my life, it taught me discipline and gave me a healthy outlet. It also taught me to be in control of my emotions; giving me the confidence to not be intimidated by life. Teaching has become a true passion of mine. There’s nothing more rewarding than to see your students learn and improve their technique but it’s even more beautiful to see what it does to them internally.
